Create a Mission from a template

Mission owners can create a mission from an existing template of a mission they have created or have access to by selecting either My Templates from the User Settings or the Create From Template button on the Mission landing page. The template will create a replica of the mission that includes a Title, Description, Thumbnail, Capabilities, Mission Map (including any layers), Reports, and Materials associated with the mission. Members and Teams are the only items that will not be part of the template. A template cannot be edited after creation.

Once created, templates are owner specific, but can be shared with others in an organization. The template is stored in the users root content folder and is an item type of mission template.

Creating a mission from a template

Missions can be created from the templates that are available to you. To create a mission from a template, complete the following steps:

  1. Click My Templates.

    A modal appears.

  2. Select a mission template from My Templates from the User Settings or the Create From Template button
  3. Search and select a mission template of your choice.
  4. Click View Details and enter the following:
    • Mission Name (required)
    • Mission Summary
  5. Choose to enable or disable any capabilities you want in the template.

    Note:
    The mission map, reports and additional materials can be edited after mission creation.

  6. Click Create Mission.

    A modal appears taking you through the mission creation process.

  7. Click Done.

You can open your mission or edit your mission in Mission Details.
